The 90 Day reactive dog recovery program

reactivity doesn't have to control your life

Stop living your life around your dog’s triggers. Understand what’s driving their reactivity, what they need from you, and build the skills to make everyday life easier.

FOR DOG-TO-DOG • DOG-TO-HUMAN • MULTI-TRIGGER REACTIVITY

A QUICK WORD FROM ME BEFORE YOU READ ON…

In the next few minutes, I’ll explain why I built Recovery, how the 90 days work and how to use this page to decide whether it’s the right next step for you and your dog.

Next program begins 5 October • Limited places

YOU'VE LEARNED TO LIVE AROUND THE REACTIVITY.

You know which walks to avoid. Which dogs mean you need to cross the road. What time the park is quiet. Where you can sit. Who can come into your home.

You’ve become incredibly good at managing your dog’s world.

And, management might always be part of life with your dog.

But, it doesn’t have to be the only tool you’ve got and you don’t want every walk, visitor or unexpected dog to feel like something you have to plan your entire life around.

YOU JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO RELAX.

To pick up the lead and go.

To stop constantly scanning for what might appear around the corner.

To trust that if something does happen, you’ll know what to do.

WHAT IF THE GOAL WASN'T JUST TO AVOID THE REACTION?

What if you could understand the reaction, change what happens before it, and give your dog the skills to make different choices?

THIS ISN'T ANOTHER “JUST DISTRACT THEM WITH FOOD” PROGRAM.

Because knowing what to do when everything is calm is one thing.

Knowing what to do when real life gets involved is something else entirely.

1: THE DOG APPEARS AROUND THE CORNER.

No setup. No perfect distance. No time to prepare.

2: THE SKILLS DISAPPEAR OUTSIDE.

They can do it beautifully at home. But, once arousal climbs, suddenly it’s like they’ve gone deaf.

03 — YESTERDAY THEY COPED BEAUTIFULLY.

Today, the same situation gets a completely different reaction and you’re left wondering what changed.

04 — YOU DON'T KNOW WHEN TO STEP IN.

Do I intervene? Do I wait? Am I too close? Should I move? You’re constantly trying to work out what your dog needs in the moment.

THIS IS WHERE RECOVERY STARTS.

Not with trying to make sure your dog never reacts again.

But, by understanding why the reaction is happening, what changes it, and what your individual dog needs from you when real life doesn’t go to plan.

Because, the goal isn’t a dog who can only cope when you’ve perfectly controlled the environment.

It’s giving both of you more skills for the moments you can’t control.

YOUR DOG DOESN'T NEED ANOTHER LIST OF THINGS THEY CAN DO IN THE KITCHEN.

They need to learn how to use those skills when they’re excited, frustrated, worried, distracted or already starting to tip over threshold.

And, you need to know which skill to use, when to step in, when to create distance and when to give them the opportunity to work it out.

OVER THE NEXT 90 DAYS

WE'RE NOT JUST WORKING ON THE REACTION

We’re working on everything that happens around it.

The arousal. The fixation. The recovery. Your timing. Your confidence. Your dog’s ability to disengage, think and make different choices.

Because that’s what starts to change everyday life.

THE RECOVERY PROCESS

FIRST WE UNDERSTAND. THEN WE BUILD. THEN WE APPLY.

Because knowing what to do is only useful if you understand when, why and how to use it with your dog.

01

UNDERSTAND

Why is my dog doing this?

Before we can change the reaction, we need to understand what’s driving it.

We’ll look at your dog’s triggers, arousal, genetics, learning history, health and behaviour patterns, so that you can start making decisions based on the dog in front of you, rather than following generic advice.

YOU’LL START TO SEE THE PATTERN, NOT JUST THE REACTION.

02

BUILD

What does my dog need to learn instead?

Understanding gives us the starting point. Now we build the skills your dog actually needs.

Engagement. Movement. Disengagement. Recovery. Working around triggers. Making better choices when arousal starts to climb.

And, we build your skills too so that you know how to respond instead of trying to make a split-second decision while your dog is already losing their head.

WE’RE BUILDING SKILLS THAT STILL EXIST WHEN REAL LIFE GETS MESSY.

03

APPLY

Can we actually use this in the real world?

This is where we start taking those skills out of the kitchen, garden and controlled training setups.

We work with real triggers, real environments and the situations that actually matter to you, gradually increasing difficulty as you and your dog are ready.

Because, success isn’t just performing a skill in training. It’s being able to use it when you actually need it.

THE GOAL ISN’T PERFECT TRAINING. IT’S A LIFE THAT FEELS EASIER TO LIVE.

WHAT CHANGES OVER 90 DAYS?

WE TAKE THE TRAINING OUT OF THEORY AND INTO YOUR ACTUAL LIFE.

Recovery isn’t twelve weeks of collecting more exercises.

Each stage builds on the one before it, so we can move from understanding what’s driving your dog’s reactions to actually changing what happens when those difficult moments appear.

And because your dog isn’t the same as everybody else’s, we adapt the work to the dog in front of us.

THE 90-DAY ROADMAP

We don’t rush straight into working closer to triggers. We build this in stages, because what your dog needs in week one won’t necessarily be what they need in week nine.

PHASE 01 · WEEKS 1–4

UNDERSTAND THE DOG IN FRONT OF YOU.

Before we can change the reaction, we need to understand what’s driving it.

We start by looking beyond the barking, lunging or fixation and working out what’s actually happening underneath it.

You’ll learn how your dog’s genetics, learning history, health, arousal and individual trigger patterns affect what you see — while building the communication, movement, engagement and reinforcement skills we’ll need for everything that comes next.

BY THE END OF THIS PHASE…

You’ll understand your dog better, recognise patterns earlier and have a much clearer idea of what to do before everything tips over threshold.

PHASE 02 · WEEKS 5–8

CHANGE WHAT HAPPENS AROUND THE TRIGGER.

This is where understanding starts becoming behaviour change.

Now we begin working more directly with the situations your dog finds difficult.

You’ll learn how to work with triggers without simply trying to distract your dog from them — building disengagement, movement, self-control and the ability to recover when arousal starts to climb.

We’ll also start changing the emotional response underneath the behaviour, so we’re not just managing what your dog does. We’re changing how they experience the situation.

BY THE END OF THIS PHASE…

You’ll have more ways to help your dog around their triggers and a much clearer understanding of when to move, when to create distance, when to interrupt and when to let your dog work it out.

PHASE 03 · WEEKS 9–12

MAKE IT WORK IN REAL LIFE.

Because training only matters if you can actually use it.

This is where we start asking more of the skills you’ve built together.

We’ll work on regulation under pressure, neutrality around dogs and people, more challenging real-world situations and helping your dog recover when things don’t go perfectly.

And we’ll prepare for something every reactive dog owner eventually faces: setbacks. Not treating them as proof that everything has failed, but knowing how to respond, adjust and keep moving forwards.

BY THE END OF THIS PHASE…

The goal is for you to leave Recovery knowing how to continue the work without constantly wondering whether you’re doing the right thing — with more confidence in your dog, your decisions and your ability to handle what happens next.

THE REALITY OF RECOVERY

PROGRESS DOESN'T ALWAYS LOOK LIKE A DOG WHO NEVER REACTS.

Sometimes it looks like your dog noticing another dog… and checking back in with you.

Sometimes it’s recovering faster after something goes wrong.

Sometimes it’s you realising you’ve stopped holding your breath, tightening the lead or mentally calculating every possible escape route.

And, sometimes it’s simply getting home from a walk and thinking:

“That actually felt… normal.”

THIS IS WHAT THE SMALL WINS START TO LOOK LIKE.

01 — THE HUMAN STAYS CALM

“I didn’t panic.”

An off-lead dog appeared. Instead of immediately going into panic mode, she stayed calm and her dog stayed relaxed too.

02 — THE DOG MAKES A DIFFERENT CHOICE

“HE LOOKED AT THE DOG, CHECKED IN WITH ME AND CARRIED ON”

Another dog was there. He noticed it. But instead of the usual escalation, he was able to look back at his handler and continue with the walk.

03 — THE WALK FEELS DIFFERENT

“OUR WALKS HAVE BEEN SO DIFFERENT TO USUAL.”

Not because every trigger disappeared. But because there was more communication, more space to make decisions and less of that constant feeling that everything could go wrong at any second.

This is why I built Recovery.

WHY I BUILT RECOVERY

BECAUSE I DON'T THINK YOU JUST NEED MORE INFORMATION.

Most reactive dog owners I work with already know a hell of a lot.

You’ve watched the videos. Read the posts. Tried the exercises. Learned about thresholds, triggers, body language, reinforcement, engagement and probably a dozen different training methods along the way.

The problem isn’t usually that nobody has ever told you what to do.

It’s knowing what to do with YOUR dog when real life gets involved.

I’ve worked with enough reactive dogs (including my own) to know that progress rarely happens in a neat straight line.

Dogs have good days. Bad days. Hormones, pain, arousal, learning history and genetics get involved. Other people’s dogs appear from nowhere. Life changes. Confidence gets knocked. Sometimes something that worked brilliantly last week suddenly feels like it isn’t working at all.

And that’s exactly why I didn’t want Recovery to be another course you buy, watch and then try to figure out by yourself.

YOU DON'T NEED SOMEONE TO HAND YOU ANOTHER TRAINING PLAN.

You need someone who can help you work out what happens when the plan meets your actual dog.

YOU’RE NOT DOING THESE 90 DAYS ALONE

THE SUPPORT BEHIND THE TRAINING

Recovery isn’t a program where I hand you twelve weeks of training videos and disappear.

We’re working through this together.

You’ll have structure to follow, but we’ll also be looking at your dog, your progress and the things that are actually happening in your life as we go.

Because sometimes the most useful thing isn’t another lesson.

It’s being able to say:

“This happened. This is what I did. What do I do next?”

01 — WE START WITH YOUR DOG

30-minute individual assessment

Before we dive into the program, we’ll look at where you and your dog are now, what’s been happening and where you need the most support.

02 — YOU HAVE ACCESS TO ME EACH WEEK

Weekly live group coaching

Bring the wins, the setbacks, the videos, the questions and the “what the hell do I do with this?” moments.

We’ll work through them together.

03 — WE ADAPT AS YOUR DOG CHANGES

Case studies, Video of the Week + monthly reviews

Because what you need in Week 2 may not be what you need in Week 9.

We’ll keep looking at what’s happening rather than blindly following a predetermined plan.

Weekly challenges + practical training

You’ll have something purposeful to work on each week so that Recovery doesn’t become another course sitting unfinished in your inbox.

04 — YOU KEEP MOVING FORWARDS

04 — YOU KEEP MOVING FORWARDS

Weekly challenges + practical training

You’ll have something purposeful to work on each week so that Recovery doesn’t become another course sitting unfinished in your inbox.

YOU’LL HAVE A PLAN. BUT YOU WON’T BE LEFT ALONE WITH IT.

Recovery isn’t about promising that your dog will never react again. It’s about giving you both more skills, more understanding and more confidence to handle the moments that used to derail you.

YOU'VE PROBABLY GOT A FEW QUESTIONS.

Good. You should.

Reactive dogs aren’t all the same, and I don’t expect you to commit to 90 days of working together without knowing whether Recovery is right for you.

What if I've already tried loads of training?

You probably have.

Most people who join me aren’t starting from zero. They’ve watched videos, followed trainers, tried different exercises and often already know quite a lot about reactive dogs.

Recovery isn’t about throwing all of that away and starting again.

It’s about working out what YOUR dog needs, what’s already working, what’s missing and how to actually apply it when real life gets involved.

What happens if we have a setback?

Then we work through it.

A bad walk, unexpected reaction or difficult week doesn’t mean you’ve ruined your dog or that all your previous progress has disappeared.

In fact, learning how to respond when things don’t go according to plan is an important part of Recovery.

Because I don’t just want you feeling confident when everything is going well. I want you to know what to do when it isn’t.

What if I can't make one of the live calls?

Don’t panic. The live calls will be recorded, so if you can’t attend, or you’re tuning in from another country, you’ll still be able to catch up afterwards.

You’ll still have the week’s training and practical work to continue with between calls.

Is Recovery suitable for dogs who react to people as well as dogs?

Yes. Recovery isn’t built around one specific trigger.

The program looks at the processes underneath reactive behaviour — arousal, communication, reinforcement, movement, disengagement, emotional responses, recovery and regulation — and then how we apply those skills to your individual dog’s triggers.

That means we can work with dog-directed reactivity, human-directed reactivity, or dogs struggling with both. The lessons inside are specifically for Dog to dog or Dog to Human reactivity.

What if I think pain or a medical problem might be involved?

Then I want you to take that seriously.

Behaviour doesn’t exist separately from physical health. Pain, discomfort and other medical issues can affect tolerance, arousal and behaviour.

Recovery can help you understand and work with your dog’s behaviour, but it isn’t a replacement for veterinary assessment or treatment.

If something suggests your dog may be uncomfortable or unwell, I’ll encourage you to involve your vet alongside the training.

How much training will I need to do?

You do not need to turn your life into one enormous dog-training session.

I’d much rather you practise useful skills consistently and realistically than train intensely for three days and then burn yourself out.

A lot of the work can become part of everyday life — walks, play, movement around the house, reinforcement and the decisions you make when triggers appear.

Consistency beats perfection.

When does Recovery start?

Live lessons begin 5 October 2026

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. You can either join Recovery with one payment of £497, or spread the cost across 3 monthly payments of £169.

What if I'm still not sure whether I'm ready?

You don’t need to have the perfect dog.

You don’t need to have mastered everything from Reset.

And, you definitely don’t need to wait until you’ve somehow figured all of this out by yourself.

You just need to be ready to understand your dog more deeply, practice what we’re working on and be willing to look at what your individual dog needs rather than chasing another quick fix.

If that’s where you are, Recovery was built for you.

90 DAYS FROM NOW, LIFE COULD FEEL VERY DIFFERENT.
